No BBQ? No Problem Ribs

NO BBQ? NO PROBLEM RIBS

We just moved into our new house with a garden (yay!). This means sitting outside the second there is even a glimpse of sunshine. Still waiting on my dream BBQ but since everything is closed we still have not been able to get it. Definitely not the most important issue at the moment so we will just roll with it. Which means nothing will stop me from making BBQ food and enjoying it in our furniture-less garden.

These ribs are perfect for anyone with or without a BBQ. They are precooked in the oven until tender and will just about fall off the bone. For that perfectly charred taste they are finished under the broil in the oven or grilled on the BBQ. Very easy to make and very easy to enjoy!

This recipe serves 4-6.

Ingredients:

2kg baby back pork ribs

1/2 cup olive oil

2-4 tablespoons cajun seasoning

Your favorite bbq sauce

Salt

Pepper

Aluminium foil

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 150C.

Generously season the ribs with salt, pepper and the cajun seasoning. Brush them with the olive oil, you want all the ribs to be completely covered. Double wrap each rib rack in aluminium foil and place on an oven tray. Cook these in the oven for 3 hours.

Remove the ribs and turn your broiler to a high setting.

Discard the aluminium foil, place the ribs on an oven tray and brush both sides with a generous amount of your favorite bbq sauce. Broil your ribs until the sauce starts to caramelize and they are perfectly charred. Keep an eye out as they can burn easily.

If you do have a BBQ, you can easily grill these to your liking.

Enjoy!
