I love tuna salad, it’s a dish I make a lot. It might not seem like something special sharing a tuna salad recipe. However, you will not always have a lot of time or even motivation to make something elaborate. Sometimes something simple as a tuna salad is the perfect thing to make for a quick but tasty and healthy lunch.
This salad takes it up a notch because I add a bit of mustard and a splash of lemon juice. It just takes it to the next level. Top it with an egg (because why not) or turn it into a tuna melt! I hope this will become your favorite tuna salad as well!
This recipe serves 4.
Ingredients:
2 cans of tuna in olive or sunflower oil (290g each), drained
2 tablespoons of finely diced shallot (about 1/2 shallot)
2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Salt
Black pepper
Splash of lemon juice
Directions:
- Add all the ingredients except salt, pepper and lemon juice to a serving bowl.
- Using a fork mix all the ingredients together. With a fork you can break up the tuna to get that perfect texture.
- Season with salt, pepper and a splash of lemon juice. Enjoy!
